About Hourwise

Hourwise is built by SingleMonkey Solutions, a small independent software company registered in Hyderabad, India. We make practical tools for working adults — Hourwise is our first.

Why this app exists

Modern office attendance is a messy compromise. Your contract specifies "be in by 09:30, stay nine hours, with a one-hour lunch deduction and a monthly buffer of eight hours." Your HR system records timestamps. Your phone gets an SMS every time you swipe in or out. But none of these sources actually tell you, on a Wednesday afternoon, whether you're on track for the month.

We built Hourwise to be that one place — the personal ledger that understands your contract, ingests punches automatically where the platform allows, and shows you the truth about your hours, with the forgiveness mechanics fully visible.

The privacy stance came from the user research. We talked to office workers in Saudi Arabia, India, and the UK. The single most repeated concern: "I don't want my employer — or some random analytics company — to know when I arrive and leave." So we built Hourwise as offline-by-default. Punches, rules, vacations, locations: all of it stays on your phone. Activation is a privacy-preserving handshake; the monthly heartbeat is a license check, not a usage report.

Where we're headed

Saudi Arabia is our launch market. The KSA Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), in force since September 2024, sets a privacy floor we already meet — and the data-residency preference for keeping KSA users' data inside the Kingdom maps cleanly onto our Firebase deployment in the me-central2 region (Dammam).

From there: the GCC, then the Indian subcontinent (where SMS-driven attendance is the dominant pattern), then the wider Asia-Pacific. iOS support is on the roadmap. So is a holiday-calendar import for KSA + GCC + India regional calendars, home-screen widgets, and a what-if simulator that lets you try different rule profiles against your historical data.

Things we will not do, ever: analytics SDKs, advertising, employer-side dashboards, or selling user data. Hourwise is a personal ledger. The privacy floor we've published is a hard commitment, not a starting position.

أوَرْوايز من تطوير سينجل مونكي سوليوشنز، شركة برمجيات مستقلة صغيرة مسجَّلة في حيدر آباد، الهند. نُصمِّم أدوات عملية للموظفين البالغين — وأوَرْوايز هو أوَّل ما نُقدِّمه.

لماذا يوجد هذا التطبيق

حضور المكاتب الحديث تسوية معقَّدة. عقدك يقول "ادخل قبل 09:30، ابقَ تسع ساعات، مع خصم ساعة غداء، ورصيد مرونة شهري من ثماني ساعات". نظام الموارد البشرية يُسجِّل الطوابع الزمنية. هاتفك يستلم رسالة قصيرة عند كل دخول وخروج. ومع ذلك، لا يُخبرك أيٌّ من هذه المصادر، في ظهيرة يوم أربعاء، إن كنت على المسار الصحيح لهذا الشهر أم لا.

بنينا أوَرْوايز ليكون ذلك المكان الواحد — السجل الشخصي الذي يفهم عقدك، ويستوعب التسجيلات تلقائيًا حيث يسمح النظام، ويُظهر لك الحقيقة عن ساعاتك، مع آليات المرونة ظاهرة بالكامل.

موقفنا من الخصوصية جاء من البحث مع المستخدمين. تحدَّثنا مع موظفين في المملكة العربية السعودية والهند والمملكة المتحدة. الهاجس الأكثر تكرارًا كان: "لا أريد أن يعرف صاحب العمل — أو شركة تحليلات عابرة — متى أصل وأغادر". لذلك بنينا أوَرْوايز ليعمل دون اتصال افتراضيًا. التسجيلات، والقواعد، والإجازات، والمواقع: كلها تبقى على هاتفك. التفعيل مصافحة محافظة على الخصوصية؛ والنبض الشهري فحص ترخيص لا تقريرَ استخدام.

إلى أين نتَّجه

المملكة العربية السعودية هي سوق إطلاقنا. نظام حماية البيانات الشخصية السعودي (PDPL)، الساري منذ سبتمبر 2024، يضع أرضية للخصوصية نلتزم بها أصلًا — وتفضيله بإقامة بيانات مستخدمي المملكة داخل المملكة يتوافق تمامًا مع نشرنا في Firebase في منطقة me-central2 (الدمَّام).

من هناك: دول الخليج، ثم شبه القارة الهندية (حيث الحضور المُدفع بالرسائل القصيرة هو النمط السائد)، ثم باقي آسيا والمحيط الهادئ. دعم iOS مُدرج في خارطة الطريق. وكذلك استيراد تقاويم العطلات للمملكة ودول الخليج والهند، وأدوات الشاشة الرئيسية، ومحاكي "ماذا لو" يتيح لك تجربة قواعد مختلفة على بياناتك التاريخية.

أمور لن نفعلها أبدًا: أدوات تحليلات، إعلانات، لوحات تحكُّم لصاحب العمل، أو بيع بيانات المستخدمين. أوَرْوايز سجل شخصي. أرضية الخصوصية التي نشرناها التزام صلب، وليست نقطة بداية.
